Meet John

My name is John DePalma. I was born in Queens and raised on Long Island. I’ve always had a passion for the outdoors and decided to pursue a degree in ornamental horticulture and landscape design at SUNY Farmingdale State University. Nearly 34 years ago, My true passion turned into realty with the establishment of Lasting Impressions Landscape corporation. 

Meet John Jr.

John DePalma Jr. is an integral piece at Lasting Impressions. He holds many positions from landscape designer to project manager to foreman using his Bachelor’s in Landscape Architecture from SUNY-ESF in Syracuse, NY. John fell in love with landscape design and construction as he spent his childhood around job sites and nurseries. Even at his young age, he holds a lot of experience in both the field work and the design of landscape plans. John skillfully integrates the wants and needs of his customers with the landscape to create functional and captivating outdoor living spaces.

How It Works

We are a service-oriented landscape design and installation company. Beginning with the design concept I meet with every customer and work closely with them through all phases of the project to ensure that the customer’s visions come to reality.

  • This is our initial visit to discuss your landscape needs and desires for your property and a time for you to share all the things you’d like to do. We can discuss current and future desires and help guide you in creating a plan. We will always provide you with a free estimate.

  • In this step we complete an on-site walk-through with the client to discuss what will and won’t work for their needs and their property and to let them know where the plants, hardscaping, and other features will be placed.

  • We are a service-oriented landscape design and installation company. Beginning with the design concept we meet with every customer and work closely with them through all phases of the project to ensure that their visions become reality. 

  • Through an energetic, dedicated and creative approach, I lead a team of landscape professionals equipped to handle any project. My philosophy is that attention to detail is the difference between a good landscape project and a great one.
